Arrival and first ride
Mallorca is an phenomenal place to visit and to ride. The small island attracts over 100,000 cyclists each spring. The riders range from beginner to pro. The roads are for the most part small and quite. You can find terrain that ranges from flat to rolling to long world class climbs. Each spring Hajo Thiele runs a camp for North Americans - and while you can book a camp anytime through the spring...this is the only time that caters to an English speaking crowd. This year Laura and I were the only 1st timers at the camp. Most had been back several times....some more than 10. I hope that as you look through these photos you will get an appreciation for how special Mallorca is...and how great of time it is to spend a week or two with Hajo and the rest of the crew.

We had been hearing about cycling in Mallorca for several years. We had met a few people who had been there and knew that it was a favorite training grounds for the pros. It was a place we really wanted to visit. We booked a week with Majorca Cycling ( http://www.majorcacycling.com) packed our bikes and flew into Palma on the south side of the island.
