Bikes for kids at Stevenson Elementary
The Long Beach based bike club, Velo Allegro, working with the YMCA of Greater Long Beach and BIKEable Communities gave bikes to each of 125 3rd graders at Stevenson Elementary in
Long Beach.
Each of the students wrote an essay on how a bike could make a difference to them and to their involvement in the community. They thought that 5 bikes would be awarded. But as you saw...it was bikes for everyone.
Thanks to Principal Zaid and the Long Beach School Board.
